OK...ONE more!

Check back tomorrow...

I'll be posting lots more pics from my trip to the Wheels Through Time museum!

Lots and lots...and lots of neat bikes at this place!!

Hemi Head Crocker!

Neat Knucklehead I saw today...

Check out the rear suspension on this thing...I was told that the person who originally modified this thing did it approx 10 years before Harley started doing something similar...Very cool...By the way, the lighting was horrible and the place was a little cramped, so I wasn't able to get as good of pics as I would have liked to do this thing justice:

Engraved manifold clamps...

As seen below on CJ's SU carb, here's a semi better shot of the engraved brass manifold clamps that I have...The engraving on them is called "Running Leaf" and I believe it was originally used back in the 16 or 1700's as a detail type engraving during the black powder days...Nevertheless, I love this style of engraving:

Awesome engraving by CJ Allan...

I actually have the brass running leaf engraved manifold clamps (as shown in this pic) that will go on the bike I'm building...I'll put up a pic of them tomorrow...Amazing work on this carb:

Art Coleman Chain Drive...

Super narrow 39mm triple tree set...I've had them for a while, but build plans changed and I'm using a Freddy Hernandez narrow springer instead...Very nice pieces though; newer sets are now called Mullins Chain Drive...

About 40 miles north of where I live...

there's the place in the picture...I've driven by it many times and always meant to stop and take a quick picture...It's obviously an adult book store and strip club, but what's interesting is the big cross in the background...Being that this are of the southeast is commonly referred to as the "Bible belt" you see lots of churches and what not, along with these really big crosses...This one is like 200 feet tall or so...

Anyway, I've had two interpretations of this place ever since the first time I saw it:

1. God bless adult book stores and strip clubs...

OR

2. A conflict of interest?

Or, maybe I'm just wrong in both aspects?? haha!

The guys and girls that power the USS Clamagore:

I thought this was pretty neat that the crew on board the USS Clamagore named the motors that powered the sub...Pic quality isn't all that good, because it was super cramped inside the engine room, plus there was very little light but you get the idea:

Crazy sand castle on the Isle of Palms, SC:

Interior of Ft. Sumter:

Couple more pics from Ft. Sumter, SC:

I think this is pretty neat...This is one of the port holes (bricked up when the US used the location as a station during the Spanish-American war) that canons would be fired from in order to defend Charleston from attackers...What I think is neat about it is the piece of shrapnel sticking out of the wall in the lower left of this pic...Evidently, this was a direct hit to the fort at one point and was never fully repaired...There are still several canon shots, etc, that can be found stuck in the walls at various points throughout the fort:

Tunnel to Cades Cove...

I may have posted this before...oh well:

The AIG bail out...

Surfing the web the other day and I came across this plan as to what to do with the billions of dollars the government wants to use in order to bail out AIG and what not...Pretty interesting:

"I'm against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG.

Instead, I'm in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in a We Deserve
It Dividend.

To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000 bonafide U.S.
Citizens 18+.

Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and child.
So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up..

So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billion that equals $425,000.00.

My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a We Deserve It Dividend.

Of course, it would NOT be tax free.

So let's assume a tax rate of 30%.

Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes.

That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam.

But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket.

A husband and wife has $595,000.00.

What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,00000 in your family?

Pay off your mortgage - housing crisis solved.

Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads

Put away money for college - it'll be there

Save in a bank - create money to loan to entrepreneurs.

Buy a new car - create jobs

Invest in the market - capital drives growth

Pay for your parent's medical insurance - health care improves

Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean - or else

Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks who
lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company that is cutting
back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces.

If we're going to re-distribute wealth let's really do it...instead of
trickling out a puny $1000.00 ( 'vote buy' ) economic incentive that is
being proposed
by one of our candidates for President.

If we're going to do an $85 billion bailout, let's bail out every adult U S
Citizen 18+!

As for AIG - liquidate it.

Sell off its parts.

Let American General go back to being American General.

Sell off the real estate.

Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up.

Here's my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn't.

Sure it's a crazy idea that can 'never work.'

But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party!

How do you spell Economic Boom?

I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion

We Deserve It Dividend more than I do the geniuses at AIG or in Washington
DC

And remember, This plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because $25.5
Billion is returned instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam."
