1938 Brough-Superior SS100

Probably one of my favorites during my visit to Barber...I'll post more pics and info about this bike later:

1925 Bohmerland

Going to start posting a few of the pics I took while at the Barber Motorsports Museum in Birmingham last week and thought I'd start with this one...

It's a 1925 Bohmerland...Originally manufactured from 1924 until 1939, approx. 1,000 were built with only a handful still intact...The one seen here is apparently the oldest Bohmerland still in exsistence...

Pretty interesting bike that was originally manufactured in Czechoslovakia...It was offered in a few bright colors: yellow and red, yellow and black or yellow and green, along with cast aluminum wheels which supposedly was an inovation of sorts during that time period...Powered by a 598 cc single cylinder 4 stroke engine, this Bosch magneto fired motor cranks out 20 hp at 3,500 rpm...This 700 lbs bike is backed by a hand shifted 3 speed trans and has drum brakes on all 3 wheels...Yes, 3 wheels; it was originally equipped with a sidecar type deal and the bike was originally designed to carry 3 people in tandem with some versions being almost 10 feet long...

Anyway, check it out:

Need something to look up on Google...?

Then, try this...Just type in "I like" and see what the first suggestion is...haha:

Sooo...

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted on here...Been pretty busy over the last week or so...

In other news, I was able to visit the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum in Leeds Alabama recently...Very cool place and in my opinion a mandatory visit for anyone interested in motorcycles, vintage racing and really anything "motor" related...I'll definitely be going back there for another visit soon! I'll be posting more pics of my visit there in the days to come...

Also went over to Talladega yesterday to check out some NASCAR practice for the up coming races today and tomorrow...I've never been to that track before and it was cool to finally be able to see it first hand...

Anyway, that's enough rambling...As always, thanks for stopping by!

Wow!

Looks like a little product demonstration taking place here...Apparently these two guys are pretty sure that the bulletproof vest was going to live up to its name on this particular day! Gotta imagine the guy wearing the vest was hoping so at least...guess that's why he gets paid a nickle more an hour!

I think it's a great pic:

Better pull over for this guy!

Jolly Rogers...neat pic
